It certainly looks and feels premium enough. It's got proper heft to it.
You got a metal frame and it looks like a unibody almost because you got the same tone and texture around back, but it is a matte glass finish around back. Thankfully, highly smudge resistant.
The phone's reasonably hardy. You've got Gorilla Glass 7i up front, which is quite scratch resistant. And you do have a screen protector slathered over the top of that as well.
And the phone is IP68 water and dust resistant, which of course is the least you'd expect at this price point. So it can be fully submerged in the drink. No worries.

However, the Xiaomi 17T Pro, like those flagships, can struggle to focus on moving subjects even in decent daylight.
And I that is even with motion capture mode switched on.
In fact, it even buggered up on occasion when my subject was being obliging these still.
But if you do spend a lot of time snapping pets or kids or whatever with your smartphone, I'd say rivals from the likes of Oppo and Vivo generally more successful.
