This drill is absolutely amazing! So much power but so safe as well!. The kick back shut off is amazing! I work in the electrical field and have to drill 100's of holes with nails. This thing powers through them and keeps up all day. Had to change batteries and rest other drills. Can't stop raving about this drill! Also amazed at L&M supply. Their prices and customer service are top notch! I will check them first whenever I need tools in the future.

Its a big upgrade from my old drill. This thing is extremely powerful. Its goy a wide body but the length frony to back is very compact. If its within your budget i highly recommend this drill it will do anything you need without much trouble at all. It kicks a little but the anit-rotation sensor will shut it down very quickly it can still get away from you if your not prepared but with a drill this size with this much power its to be expected.

This is a substantial upgrade to my other drill and so much more torque and power. I have jobs where I am using either an auger or masonry bit which wore out my previous unit but this one doesn't complain about the work in any way. It is also nice to having another charger and an 8.0 Ah Battery. For me, this will last longer than I will. I just need to keep it from sprouting feet and walking away.

I bought this hammer drill as a replacement for a standard Dewalt brushless drill that burnt out after a few years. The change was very noticeable when I brought this one home where I'm building an attached apartment and effortlessly drilled holes with everything from 1/2 bits, all the way up to 4 1/2 hole saws. This thing doesn't quit (except when it does and the LED turns red alerting you that it detected a hold-up). Otherwise, really love the included slimmer battery and fast-charger.

I hope more people get to find out about this drill and the redesigns the dewalt team went through to compete with other hard hitters in the drill space. I've only had this drill for about a week, and my milwaukee drill just couldn't compare at all. It's night and day when it comes to the performance thanks to that 8 amp battery. Only downside is that the charger despite being fast still doesn't compare to something like the milwaukee forge line of supercharger they have. Two thumbs up.

more power then expected . steady power ,doesn't grab . upgradded from gen 3 milwaukee .this is much bigger drill but i hardly notice it .has been using for auger bits

If you’re looking for a drill that can withstand heavy industrial work, this hammer drill is more than up to the task. Just be prepared for its size and weight—it’s designed to handle heavy jobs, it isnt small or light so don't expect a home duty type drill. It is about as heavy as a small impact wrench.

This drill is a beast and although it is quite heavy my biggest complaints are that it only came with 1 battery and is in a bag instead of a plastic latching case

Heavy duty and very powerful Super heavy

Super bright adjustable light. Im running the 12ah battery it has lots of torque. This thing is perfect in every way. Its a little heavy but for the quality and battery size thats to be expected.

A little heavy for overhead use, but plenty of power and control.
