nice picture good viewing, hopefully stays that way. color good
Almost perfect This tv has the best picture of any tv currently in the market. Operating system is on the other hand not very good.
Great Oled TV Best picture I've ever seen on a tv. Unfortunately our grandson threw something at it and broke the screen. Loved it so much I bought another one to replace it. Pairs well with lg surround sound
QUALITY OVER QUANTITY It's one of the best tv's I've ever bought it's loads content fast and the quality is insane the images and audio works excellent it's also works in low dim rooms perfectly
Amazing One of the best TVs in the market. The color, connectivity and accessibility is amazing. It was also easy to set up and only took a under 30 mins to assemble. Been excited to always turn the TV on ever since.
The color is intense and beautiful! As I was unable to purchase this TV, but my friend was and she is utilizing it & I was able to ask her how she liked it and also able to see and use it too. Her and her family absolutely love it. The color is absolutely beautiful. It's easy to use. The definition is very, very high. Even the husband is very pleased and he is such a tech guru!
Must Buy! Wow, it's impressive how vibrant the color is, how high-quality it is, and how light it is. The TV is amazing. The control is great; I could move it easily. We love it so much. The value for the price is great, and it looks very durable. I must buy it.
Amazing Picture Quality After upgrading to a G5 83 (from my old C9 77), I was pleasantly surprised with the improved brightness and the colors. This TV is much better OLED for a room with lots of daylight. I did find the sound a little muffled (AI Sound doesn't seem to work well for my living room). Standard settings sounded best for my room, but you should consider a soundbar or AV receiver.
Very large and bright screen I bought this to replace an 77inch LG B2 and it is a huge improvement! The screen is very bright, even in daylight, and the size makes it a lot more immersive experience. The blacks are very dark and the color looks really eye popping when compared to the older TV.
Super bright OLED - great for our new living room Super bright compared to our LG C4 83 TV at our other house. Great addition to our new living room and the G5 is excellent on glare control compared to some of our other models that we have.

Drop Dead Gorgeous Display Stunning picture but serious issue with volume output. I connected the TV to my stereo receiver using an optical cable and the volume was very low. I almost sent the TV back. The wall mount bracket that comes with the TV was relatively easy to install but the instructions were terrible - the available video cleared up my questions. No printed manual and the online manual offered zero information. The onscreen manual isn't much better.
Not good Didn't like it at all. Returned the item and definitely will not be purchasing one like it in the near future. Very bad sound and picture quality. Did have some cool features though
Awesome picture! I got this as an upgrade to a 65 inch CX OLED. The picture is brighter and sharper in HDR mode and has been awesome so far with movies and gaming. The tv speakers are ok, but I pair with a surround sound system. The remote doesn't have an input button, so switching between inputs is a little clunky. Minor inconvenience for the overall viewing quality.
Amazing TV This is a fantastic TV. The picture is outstanding and it is very easy to operate. I found the picture to be superior to many similarly priced TVs. I am not a fan of the built in OS, or the remote but those could be changed by using a streaming device. I would recommend this TV to anyone looking to improve their home theater setup.
Great TV We are very happy with the OLED 55G56LS the picture is better than any of my previous TV's. The sound is also very good straight from the TV but coupled with an LG surround sound system it is superb.
Picture quality excellent, sound hopeless. I would have given this G5 TV six stars but for the useless sound coming from the TV. No matter what setting using Hi speed cables, the speech and surround sounds are a muffle at best. The picture quality is beautiful and anything in UHD will blow you away. Settings for sound could be hugely improved with an update. It is no secret to owners that the wow orchestra setting is nxt best thing to hopeless. For the price I expected more flexibilty.
Great picture but not so good sound. Great picture but not so good sound. At this price would expect better sound. Also you can’t adjust easily as you have to use the AI function rather than simply adjust bass and treble.
Brand new LG OLED G5 65” faulty I’m bitterly disappointed about this purchase considering the high price tag. This TV packed up and stopped working 5 days after purchase. The TV refuses to switch on. The only piece working is the flashing LED light. Not what I expected for a TV that won PC mag’s Editors’ Choice winner for OLED TVs.

Positive Mentions
As of this review, this is easily the brightest OLED we've ever reviewed. It reaches amazing highs. Seriously, over 2400 nits in smaller highlights.
But this TV maintains almost 800 nits in real content, which is extremely bright, too bright for many people. It's even capable of hitting 1,000 nits in scenes with smaller highlights.
Frankly, this TV is bright enough in SDR for well-lit rooms, which is a first for OLEDs, at least one with a glossy coating.
Negative Mentions
But the G5 has an unfortunate problem when watching HDR10 content, which is quite common for streaming platforms and for gamers on a PS5 console.
There's a strange contouring issue in dark scenes in HDR10 content, adding banding and overall making HDR look quite unattractive.
If you're a PlayStation gamer, do not buy this TV unless it gets a firmware update to fix the issue.
