JBL Charge 5 Bluetooth Portable Speaker

This is by far the best sounding small-ish Bluetooth speaker ever! In my opinion, it’s like someone set the mixer to have the perfect bass, treble, and everything in between. Bottom line: I love the sound, the color, the size, the link to other speakers feature, and the water resistance. If you care about whether your music “sounds right”, this is the speaker you want.

JBL has a winner with this portable speaker! The Bluetooth capability works seamlessly with any cell phone I use and the sound is remarkable! Very clear tones and vocals radiate from this durable compact speaker with a nice blend of bass. This purchase from Verizon was a great buy with the speaker on sale for 60% off.

An upgrade from previous wireless speakers (Bose & UE Boom), all of which were very good, but this is a punchy wireless speaker with very decent base response, and definitely a step up! Used for entertainment on my roof top terrace and it's a terrific product, with great sound quality. Easy to connect. Nothing much not to like. The only thing is being a bit bigger not quite as portable but loving it. Perhaps the indicated play time of 20 hours is overstated? Nonetheless very very happy so far.

It's always a win with JBL. The bass the clarity, and all around acoustics can't be beat. Not to mention the battery life is insane. omg over 18 hours and still bumping my playlist. Very attractive looking speaker. I'll never buy any other brand.. JBL BLUETOOTH SPEAKERS ARE THE BEST!!!

I’ve had my charge 5 for a few years now and still am obsessed with it! The sound quality is fantastic and it pairs with my phone, ipad, and macbook pro seamlessly. Additionally, it survived floating around in flood water for 5 hours when our house flooded during a hurricane. Gave it a rinse when I found it again and it still plays like it just came out of the box! Battery still is going strong and holds the charge well!

One of the best speakers I have ever bought. Great quality sound for the size of the speaker . The sound is crisp clear and the music is permeating. The clarity in the variety of musical instruments provides great listening. Quite a durable and robust built speaker and portable. Great for outdoors and indoors and easy to carry. For its size very powerful speaker that has great loudness that maintains quality sound even when at its highest in volume. Great investment and highly recommended

The speaker is OK, The party boost feature is very low quality. The sound is scratchy and glitches every few minutes with a loud chirp. The range between speakers in party boost is limited to a couple metres and very susceptible to interference from other Bluetooth or wifi sources. Disappointed as this I why I purchased two, to have them play at the same time.

The Charge 5s are awesome with deep bass, great midrange and nice highs. The wattage is up there for indoors and they work well outside also. The only cons are that you cannot utilize the downloadable app to equalize when they are paired.

Speaker App has Serious issues JBL apps don't work on the most recent Apple devices. Forget about Stereo pairing with two Charge 5 speakers. People have been complaining about this App for years but obviously JBL is not listening. Don't believe me, just read the reviews on your iPhone App. Purchase at your own peril!

When I link the new charge 5's one will cut out for a few seconds. Also when you separate them about 20 feet the connection goes in and out.

Terrible Charge and Connect to interact for party I'm pretty upset that it doesn't connect with the new JBL connect 6 that I literally bought a few days after I bought the Charge 5.
