I bought this about a month ago and there are some changes that are good and some that are not from my previous vivio active 4 model. I mostly like the battery life, this one only needs to be changed about 1-2 times a week. The way to start a walk has more button pushing and also to set an alarm is more challenging. It is nice photos can be placed as a background. There are more activities to chose from than my old vivio and this watch is much lighter. So far those are the items I have used.
I bought this 2 weeks ago and absolutely love it. Really easy to use for a first timer, I've never had a Garman watch before. Love tracking my sleep progress, stress levels and steps etc. Loads of face options to choose from, the design is lovely! Charges so quickly and lasts a long time. I've had to charge it 3 times since I've had it and its only off my wrist for an hour (if that) and its fully charged. Very happy with my purchase!
I purchased the Vivoactive 6 to replace a Fenix 5, I couldn't justify spending £900 on a new Fenix so went for this. I have used it every day for 6 months for Golf, Running, Cycling, Gym, Squash, Tennis, Hiking and Triathlon. I don't think there is much this watch doesn't do, screen is bright and clear, touch screen works well and battery lasts for ages, also much comfier than my previous Garmin I never take it off.
This watch has so many features, I’m still figuring them out. What I really like about this watch is: it has a long battery use life, its features for the clock range from active display loud look to sophisticated black and white evening look, its features greet you with a bright outlook on the day as a motivational tool, the band is soft and pliable. I bought the yellow band… it’s not a yellow; it’s more of a cream/ white color which is what I was hoping for.
I absolutely am loving my Garmin watch, I had tried other products before but the quality was just not there. My Garmin watch lasts ten times longer than any other watch I’ve used, I’m only charging it roughly once every week or so, whereas other watches I had to charge every night. It’s so comfortable to wear, the technology is amazing, the first thing I do is check my sleep score!
Been contemplating buying a smart watch for a while and I’m glad I bought this one! Great features, easy to use and the garmin connect app is great to check all your stats. The watch is very intelligent when using it in the gym, I knows what exercises you’re doing. Definitely motivated me to push harder with my workouts. It was between this, Apple Watch and whoop band - glad I opted for this. Battery is amazing, I’ll go a full week of wearing it and using it everyday before I need to charge
I bought this watch to replace a Fitbit since I was tired of the battery not lasting. So far the battery has lasted 10 days when it wasn't quite fully charged. It was easy to setup and the functions are very user friendly. I like how it tells you the stats first thing in the morning and your stats for the day at night. I'm happy with my purchase.
So far, very good with this watch. It took me a while to find the perfect watch face for me but there are lots of choices on the ConnectIQ store. I’m at the end of day 5 on a single charge of the battery but still have 20% remaining. I’ve tracked hikes on each of these 5 days and still have battery left which is so much better than my Vivoactive 4. This watch is just what I needed for my outdoor activities.
Got this watch after having a Google Pixel 3 for a year. The battery life is amazing. I only have to charge it about once a week. And it wasn't fully dead when I decided to charge it, instead of once a day. The screen is large and picture text messages and Ring updates come through clearly. I am very happy with the change!
If you are on the fence to get rid of an Apple Watch or Fitbit to switch to Garmin. Do it. You will not be disappointed. I absolutely love my Garmin watch. From the health apps to working out it’s great. Then it’s compatible with golfing. Battery life is another great thing. Had to charge my Apple Watch everyday. Garmin I only have to recharge it once every 10 days. Sometimes even longer if I am not using the GPS mode.

I am loving the features on my Garmin Vivoactive, but im a little disappointed in the battery life. I was expecting to get at least 5 days with it as it is advertised up to 11 days, but it only lasts 3-4 days at the most. I do use it a lot, but not to the extent of draining it so fast. Overall though, great watch to have for keeping track of your workouts/walks/run. I'd definitely buy again as it is worth it and is very comfortable and not too bulky.

Positive Mentions
i've been wearing the Garmin Vivoactive 6 for a month and for $300 it's got way better battery life and more sports features than the Apple Watch SE and the Galaxy Watch.
Now battery life is fantastic especially if you're comparing it with an Apple Watch or a Galaxy Watch in the same price range.
In my testing I've been able to get an average of four to four and a half days with the always on display active and some lighter use It drops to around 3 days if you use more heavy GPS workouts thrown in.
Negative Mentions
This watch has an always on display but it is quite dim and depending on the watch face you choose it might be really hard to see.
The glow sticks face which is one of the new ones on the Vivoactive 6 is so hard to see even indoors that half the time I get so frustrated that I can't read this watch that I end up waking up the watch face anyway which kind of defeats the purpose of an always on.
