Positive Highlights (85%)

Have a Forerunner 735XT that I bought over 3 years ago. The problem was that the battery life was getting shorter and shorter. Purchased this Forerunner 265 in an early Black Friday sale. Love it. In order to having a color screen, it is incredibly easy to use and has far more features than my old 735XT. It gives me training suggestions as well as monitoring my overall fitness. The touch screen took a little getting used to but I now love it. Great purchase and great upgrade.

Quality:Feels premium and lightweight on the wrist. Screen is bright and very clear, even outdoors. Performance:GPS locks fast and tracking is accurate. Training insights and metrics are very helpful for improving runs and workouts. Battery: Solid battery life, easily lasts several days with regular use. Overall: Very satisfied with this purchase. Great watch for fitness tracking and everyday wear. Highly recommended!

I upgraded to the 265 recently. It is a very good running watch, tracking everything well. Feels very well built and the new amoled screen looks great. I dropped it a star because garmin decided to make the screen slightly domed so you now can't put glass screen protectors on. You can only get plastic ones which will scratch in a day and offer very little shatter protection.

I replaced my 245 with the 265. The new features and the color is amazing. The screen is so much easier to see. Garmin does a great job with the keeping the functions user friendly. Battery life is better. Only issue seen with the 265 is the heart rate is not accurate. Would invest in a strap for this watch. Felt the 245 had a better heart rate accuracy.

I'm an older bloke that finds tech challeging so it is taking me some time to familiarise myself with the amazing facilities this watch has to offer. The screen is easy to read in any conditions. The stats and reports take everything about your activity to a completely new level, where you could loose yourself for days analysing. If your serious about your activity, and you don't need mapping, get one

Traded up from 645. Display is a revelation. So much information available but I find a clean main screen easier to read, with a single button press or swipe (never thought I would embrace a touchscreen on a watch. Can be disabled during workouts, thankfully) to see the details. GPS appears much more consistent. Pity that the cheap, plastic case makes it look just that, cheap. Perhaps it helps with GPS reception. Possibly overpriced when compared to the competition.

I have a Fenix 5 and a Forerunner 945, and I recently added the Forerunner 265. I'm 76, but I still walk, jog, and bite a lot. The 265 was a gift to myself for some accomplishments. I was surprised at how bright, clear, light, and feature-rich the sports watch is. I was tired of black, so I got the Whitestone version. I ordered the Tidal Blue band for some contrast. I like this watch. It is an excellent upgrade to my other Garmin watches, which still work perfectly.

I was reluctant to buy the 265 as my 255 has worked perfectly for more than one year. I did so mainly because of the display as I don't wear glasses when I run and the display on the 255 is difficult to read in the dark even with the backlight. The display is stunning and very easy to read without my glasses. I was very pleasantly surprised to see all the new metrics as well. I wear it 24/7 so I can get accurate information as I am training for NY Marathon November 3.

I bought this watch a few weeks ago and I am very pleased with the design and many useful features. I have owned several Garmin watches over the years, all were good, but I believe this one is the best. It was easy to upload my previous settings from Garmin Connect, and the watch operates flawlessly. The AMOLED watch screen is bright and colorful. The best I have ever seen. The battery life is great! Better than all previous models I have owned. I’m very pleased with my purchase.

I had my Garmin 245 for 3 years and really wanted to upgrade to something with a color display and touchscreen. After months of researching I decided to go with the 265. The battery life is awesome and the large bright screen makes seeing my data while running so much easier!

Negative Highlights (8%)

Overall, I love the Forerunner 265. Comfortable, battery life is outstanding, and I especially like the Training Readiness feature. That was a main reason I bought it. The one big thing I wish Garmin could fix is reading the heart rate through tattoos. I need to switch which arm the watch is on while I workout and sleep as I have dark ink in certain spots on my wrist and it cuts out. I'd jump on a new watch if you guys could fix that.

Great display I replaced my 255 the HR never never worked right - the 265 solved problem works great - the display is a big improvement bright and easyer to read

Positive Mentions

one of the most glaring differences between this 265 and garmin's previous devices is this bright new AMOLED screen

these AMOLED screens are significantly sharper than all of the previous garment watches they're basically twice as sharp as what we've had in the past so icons and text and colors they're all going to look significantly better on this display

Negative Mentions

this gets to one of my biggest complaints about the 265 $450 it's it's getting pretty high it's now squarely out of the entrylevel running watch category and much closer to like a mid or upper level category of watches and watch prices closer to what the 745 was back in the day
